1. Formation of service
Submitting an inquiry does not create a transport contract. Service begins only after WWJ issues written acceptance or a formal quotation, the customer accepts the stated scope, and any required payment, documents and cargo checks are completed.
2. Customer cargo disclosure
- Provide accurate product names, use, material, quantity, value, country of origin and HS information where known.
- Disclose batteries, liquids, gels, powders, magnets, aerosols, chemicals, wood, food, medicine, branded goods, dangerous goods, high value and oversized cargo.
- Provide current and product-matched SDS, UN38.3, transport reports, licences or other documents when required.
- Do not rely on neutral outer packing to justify an inaccurate carrier or customs declaration.
3. Measurement and charges
Charges may use actual weight, volumetric weight, cubic volume, container type, chargeable unit, minimum charge or other route-specific basis. WWJ warehouse or carrier measurements may replace supplier estimates. Repacking, storage, examination, customs, demurrage, detention, redelivery, waiting time, remote-area, limited-access and other exceptional costs may be charged when incurred or stated in the quotation.
4. Time and routing
Transit times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Sailing, flight, rail, border, customs, inspection, weather, congestion, labour, security and destination delivery conditions may change the route or schedule.
5. Customs, duties and importer obligations
The customer or designated importer remains responsible for product legality, licences, accurate declarations, duties, taxes and destination requirements unless a written service scope states otherwise. DDP or customs-supported wording does not remove the importer’s obligation to provide accurate information.
6. Packing
The customer is responsible for cargo being suitably packed unless WWJ expressly accepts a packing service. A packing recommendation reduces risk but does not guarantee that damage cannot occur. Repacking may change dimensions, weight and cost.
7. Insurance, claims and liability
Cargo insurance is separate unless expressly included in writing. Claims must follow the notice period, documents, mitigation duties, exclusions and liability limits stated in the formal quotation, bill of lading, air waybill, carrier terms or service agreement. Consequential loss, lost profit and market loss are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
8. Conflicts
For an actual shipment, the signed service agreement, formal quotation, booking confirmation and applicable transport document take priority over this general webpage in that order, subject to mandatory law.
